The Fun Not Fear® Club

Do you need help for your dog but are not sure where to turn?

Join us at the Fun Not Fear® Club. We celebrate the bond between humans and dogs. We do it through positive reinforcement, empathy, and fun. We’re not just teaching dogs. We are building a community. In it, every dog has the chance to thrive in a loving, fear-free place

Who we are.

The Fun Not Fear® Club was born just before the lockdowns of 2019. It was created to help anxious dogs and dogparents to live their best lives together.

Fun Not Fear® Club is dedicated to helping ANY dog or dogparent who needs it, by changing dog teaching and behaviour practices, using force-free methods.

Our ethos is based on the belief that every interaction with our dogs should be positive, understanding, and respectful. It should NEVER be based on dominance, aversives, or coercion.

Freya has first hand experience of living with fear, as she has PTSD following a period of domestic violence. Through this, she understands how hard it is to function when afraid, whether human or canine.

When a very scared and anxious dog, called “Moo”, came into her life, she made it her life mission to help him. She gained qualification after qualification in her quest. Realising her passions, she has since helped dog after dog overcome their fears. Freya also excels at considering any anxiety the dogparent may also be having and adjusting plans and methods to suit both ends of the lead.

Our vision at Fun Not Fear® Club

We’re committed to setting a new standard in dog teaching and behaviour. We aim to inspire a global Fun Not Fear® movement. We will do this by showing the power of our methods. They are effective and transformative. They lead to more compassionate, respectful, and humane interactions with all dogs.

“Freya has given us some fantastic advice and we’re starting to see real progress with our dogs.

Our little gang offered a few challenges. Not least, one is deaf and partially sighted.

Freya went above and beyond in order to research alternative training methods so that our deafie could be included in the training.”

Our Fun Not Fear® commitment

We have built our club on the foundation of creating joyful learning experiences for dogs and their dogparents alike. Using science-backed techniques that enhance the bond between you and your dog while also improving their mental well-being and behaviour, we will ALWAYS promote kindness.

Using cues, not commands. Focus on teaching, not training. Giving empowerment through choices to dogs and clients. We choose Fun Not Fear® always. This ensures that learning is stress-free and fun for all.

You might want to teach your dog new skills. Maybe you need to address behavioural challenges. Or, you might just want to enrich your relationship with your floofer. The Fun Not Fear® Club is here to support you every step of the way.
