About Freya

Who am I?

I have been working professionally with dogs since 2016, after discovering through one of my own dogs, that my passion in life was helping anxious dogs overcome their fears. I also love teaching puppies, so to help them turn into confident, happy adult dogs.

I have taken many courses, with both online and practical elements, plus acquired years of experience in “the real world” working with other dog professionals. I do regular CPD and keep up to date with the latest methods.

I believe wholly in my Fun Not Fear® philosophy and ethics, and you will never see me recommend anything your dog will find aversive.

Recently I have also taken up writing, and have even written a book! You can find it here.

I am very lucky to call some of the worlds most influential reward-based dog professionals my friends. I work with only the most reputable force-free organisations, as well as being behind the scenes at organisational level on international committees, so I can be sure I give you up-to-date, expert advice for your dog.

I also run the Dog Welfare Alliance, for other professionals to declare and promote a force-free ethos, founded by Lisa Tenzin-Dolma in 2013.

In my “non-dog” life, I am a Mum, a dogparent, a girlfriend, a vegan and I love yarn crafts and gaming.

“It’s vital to know who you are hiring, when it comes to taking advice for your dog”
